The present Act establishes that instead of the Regulation EC) No. 1836/93 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 June 1993 allowing voluntary participation by organizations in a Community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS) , the Regulation (EC( No. 761/2001 on the same subject is applicable in the enforcement of the Environment Audit Act of 7 Dezember 1995 (BGBl. I p. 1591) and its related Ordinances.
