The Act establishes regulations concerning the monitoring and control of electricity and natural gas markets, the promotion of a functioning electricity and natural gas market, energy efficiency and use of renewable energy as well as then enforcement of duties in energy policy, emissions trading of greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency regulated by the Energy Agency. The Agency manages the tasks imposed by national Authorities in adherence to certain Acts and EU regulations.
