The Act aims to establish a framework for the protection of surface water and groundwater, as well as its planning within the environment internationally protected areas. For each water district, there must be a water plan that must cover a period of 6 years. Assessment, analysis and monitoring is required for the purpose of its planning goals, which aim to preserving all surface water bodies.
