Chapter 48 is amended to as to provide (anew) for offences against the environment and their prosecution. The main categories of offences are: damage to and destruction of the environment (sect. 1); faults and misdemeanour in relation with the environment (sect. 3); damage and destruction caused by neglect (sect. 4). In describing the offences, various references to other environment protection legislation are made.
