This Act is a co-ordinating and transitional text for extensive changes in environment legislation in Finland. This Act provides for the entry into force of various new pieces legislation, such as the Act and consequential amendments of existing legislation. It repeals other legislation such as Act No. 735 of 1991 concerning environment permit procedures, and a Decree of 1962 (283) relative to protection of water resources.
