These amendments concern certain adjustments of the Environment Protection Act in relation with the revision of Regulation (EC) No 761/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 March 2001 allowing voluntary participation by organizations in a Community eco-management and audit scheme (EMAS). Organizations registered in accordance article 7, second comma of the Regulation are exempted from public audit requirements pursuant to section 12.2. of the Act. Some other amendments relating to publication of environment impact statements are made.
