The scope of the Act is to provide rules so as to enhance desirable planning, development, and operation of ports. The Act consists of 33 sections divided into 8 Chapters: General provisions (I); State organs, their tasks, and authority (II); Special management Body for ports and navigable waters (III); Geographical limits for competence of municipalities (IV); Tasks of municipalities and authority (V); Port charges (VI); Planning of ports (VII); Miscellaneous provisions (VIII).
