This Act makes provision in respect of the collection and payment of a levy on agricultural and veterinary chemical products as defined by the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Act 1994. The Act imposes the levy only so far as the levy is a duty of excise within the meaning of section 55 of the Constitution.
