The present Law completes the Federal Law on Agriculture of 29 April 1998. The Canton shall promote an efficient and sustainable agriculture in line with market requirements. The Governing Council shall project a model based on principle of economy and ecology. In particular, the model aims at: 1) improving competition in a situation in which peasant families play a fundamental role; 2) strengthening of the principle of subsidiarity; 3) promoting a sustainable production and conservation of natu
