This Act makes provision with respect to the prevention and control of diseases affecting animals. The Minister may, by notice in the National Gazette, appoint an officer to be the Chief Stock Inspector, who shall, subject to directions of the Minister, be responsible for the administration of this Act (sect. 2). The Chief Stock Inspector may appoint Inspectors, the powers of which are defined in section 4. Inspectors may examine animals and order holders of animals or other persons to carry out
Being an Act: (a) relating to diseases of animals; and (b) to prohibit and restrict the importation into and the keeping in the country of certain animals, and for related purposes.
