The present Regulations are made under the Fisheries Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to applications for authorization to carry out certain works under sub-section 35(2)(b) of the Fisheries Act. This section concerns protection of fish in recreational or aboriginal fisheries and states that no person shall carry on any work or undertaking to harm fish, except upon exceptional authorization by the Minister. The text consists of 10 sections.
