This Act makes provision for the measures and rules regarding the protection from harmful effects of radiation. For the purpose of policy and control it establishes the Atomic Energy Board and the National Radiation Protection Authority. The Board shall be principally an advisory and monitoring body whereas the Authority shall grant licences for activities involving radioactive materials. Licence holders shall register radioactive material imported or produced in Namibia with the Authority.
