These Rules implement provisions of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation Act 1987 in relation with conditioning, managing and storage of radioactive materials and radioactive waste. They list specified persons for purposes of paragraph 5 (1) (ba) of the Act. That provision concerns duties of ANSTO in respect of radioactive materials and waste of other persons.
