These Regulations provide for the enforcement in Wales of specified Community legislation. They make the National Assembly for Wales the competent authority for the purposes of the specified Council Regulation and the Commission Regulations (reg 3), create various offences and identify the enforcement authorities (reg. 5). They also apply various enforcement provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990 (reg. 7).
