This Act amends the Bihar Fish Jalkar Management Act of 2006. It amends several sections by adding certain missing definitions and provides provisions regarding the authority for the approval of Short Term Settlement under any Fishermen Co-operative Society. The Act also provides that the state government may issue an order in relation to the different categories of water-bodies as to whether they shall be classified as of fine category, medium category or low category for fishing area.
