The present Act enforces, inter alia, the Directive 2003/30/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 Mau 2003 on the promotion of the use of biofuels or other renewable fuels for transport. In particular, the Act introduces a biofule quota by amending, iner alia, the Energy Tax Act, the Electricity Tax Act, the Federal Immission Protection Act.
