The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the establishment of a biosphere reserve and a protected area I and II, all of which shall be known under the name „Oberlausitzer Heide- und Teichlandschaft“. In particular, the Annex 1 outlines the exact areas and borders. Article 3 rules that the purpose of the Reserve shall be the conservation, care and development of an uninterrupted landscape with an unspoilt wild fauna and flora.
