The present Act lays down provisions relating to the promotion of animal breeding in Burgenland. In particulars, it applies to the breeding of horses, cattle, swines, goats and sheep. The Act aims at making available to the animal breeding and production industry the necessary financial means in order to improve the health of animals, to ensure the high standards of animal products, to promote modern breeding methods, and to maintain genetic multiplicity.
