This Chapter imposes a requirement of a permit for the lighting of fires for purposes of clearing land. A permit shall be obtained from the Governor or his or her authorized representative. The Act also prohibits the lighting of fires during heavy wind and without proper assistance, requires control of the fire, defines offences and prescribes penalties for such offences.
