This Act makes provision with respect to providing and maintaining a clean and safe local environment. It makes provision for a variety of matters relating to a cleaner and safer environment in urban areas including the dropping of litter, the registration of carriers of particular kinds of waste, the illegal deposit of waste, the powers and duties of local authorities to collect and dispose of waste, the dealing with waste generated at construction sites and noise.
