This Regulation implements the Coal Mines Regulation Act 1982 by providing specifications on underground mines. The Regulation defines operation and working practices (Part 2), transport systems (Part 3), ventilation (Part 4), emergency procedures (Part 5), fire control (Part 6), controlled materials (Part 7), monitoring and detecting equipment (Part 8), electrical equipment (Part 9), explosives (Part 10) and airborne dust (Part 12).
