These Regulations amend the Colours in Food Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 by bringing up to date a reference to Commission Directive 95/45/EC laying down specific criteria concerning colours for use in foodstuffs so as to cover its amendment by Commission Directive 1999/75/EC, which changed the specification for "E160a Mixed Carotenes", and by bringing up to date references to the 1996 Regulations in other Regulations.
