The present Directive lays down amendments to Directive 91/155/EEC, which provides detailed arrangements as regards the system of specific information relating to dangerous preparations. The amendments are intended to put Directive 91/155/EEC in line with Directive 1999/45/EC, which, inter alia, introduces a requirement for preparations to be classified and labelled for their effects on the environment.
