This Directive updates Directive 93/85/EEC on the control of potato ring rot, in view of the developments in the understanding of the biology of the organism which is the cause of potato ring rot. The Annexes to that Directive are replaced by the corresponding texts in the Annex hereby attached. In particular, Annex I lays down the test scheme for diagnosis, detection and identification of the ring rot bacterium.
