Upon the opinion of the European Food Safety Authority, which concluded that folic acid does not have an adverse effect on animal and consumer health, and it is not expected to pose additional risk for the environment, this Regulation authorizes the use of folic acid as a feed additive for all animal species, under the conditions prescribed in the Annex.
