This Recommendation arranges coordinated food inspection programmes at Community level. During 2001 Member States should carry out inspections and controls including, where indicated, taking samples and analysing such samples in laboratories, with the aim of (i) monitoring compliance with the Community labelling rules concerning the quantitative ingredients declaration (QUID), and (ii) assessing the bacteriological quality of smoked fish products.
