This Regulation sets forth methods for carrying out sampling, sample preparation and analyses for the official control of the levels of nitrates in the foodstuffs listed in Section 1 of the Annex to Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006, namely: spinach (fresh, preserved, frozen or deep-frozen); fresh lettuce; processed cereal-based foods; and baby foods for infants and young children.
