This Order consolidates the various Orders made under the Continental Shelf Act 1964 which have designated the areas of the continental shelf within which the rights of the United Kingdom with respect to the sea bed and subsoil and their natural resources are exercisable. The Amendment of the definition of the Continental shelf is consequential to the declaration of the Exclusive Economic Zone by the Exclusive Economic Zone Order 2013 (S.I. No. 3161 of 2013).
