This Order makes provision, for purposes of salmonella control, for the registration of hatcheries, breeding flocks and laying flocks of birds of the species Gallus gallus, turkeys, ducks and geese, and imposes record-keeping requirements. The Order also prohibits the use of antimicrobials and of live salmonella vaccines in breach of Article 2 or Article 3 of Commission Regulation (EC) 1177/2006 and stipulates that the Order is enforced by the local authority.
