These Regulations aim to expand goose liver production in Israel as well as to prevent the suffering of geese while being force fed and fattened in order to produce goose liver. The Regulations include provisions on the process of force feeding including the manner of its conduct (sect. 5). There are also provisions relating to the slaughter of geese (sect. 6).
