The purpose of this Decision is to promulgate a national action program to combat desertification by properly managing forest resources, water sources and land. The action program shall cover desertified areas throughout the country, in particular areas in the north western region, the coastal Central Viet Nam, the Central Highlands and Long Xuyen quadrilateral region.
