This Decision aims at speeding up the achievement of the objectives of the Programme “Towards Sustainability” adopted by the Commission on 18 March 1992 and approved by the Resolution of the Council and the representatives of the Governments of the Member States of 1 February 1993. The Decision defines five key priorities as being those which will give an additional impetus to the effective implementation of the Programme. The text is composed of two Sections.
