The Decree implements provisions of the International Maritime Organization Protocol of 1992 to International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage by defining the liability for oil pollution damage in the territorial sea and EEZ of the Netherlands Antilles and limitation of such liability. It also regulates the civil actions that can be undertaken to claim compensation of damage.
