This Presidential Decree implements further epidemiological surveillance measures of the bovine spongiform encephalopathy modifying Law No.3 of 19 January 2001 and implements Commission Regulation No. 1248/2001CE amending Commission Regulation No. 999/2001. The rapid diagnosis test for the disease is compulsory for all bovine aged over 24 months (article 1, part a, comma 1, of above Decree refers).
