Decree-Law No. 362/98 approving the Statute of the Institution for Water and Residue Management.

This Decree-Law approves the Statute of the Institution for Water and Residue Management (IRAR) and extinguishes the National Monitoring Centre of Environment. The Regulation, consisting of 5 chapters, establishes composition, competencies and duties of the aforementioned institution the aim of which is: to guarantee the management and control of multi-municipal system for public water supply, water discharge, waste disposal (including solid wastes), etc.
