Decree-Law No. 37/98 regulating the Vessel Register.

This Decree-Law consists of 39 articles regulating vessels registration and laying down the requirements to be inscripted into the Register of Vessels of the General Direction of the Sea and Harbour (DGMP). It also defines any different type of vessel (fishing vessel, recreational, etc.), specifying fishing vessel marking to be displayed on the hull.
