This Decree-Law consists of 11 articles establishing navigation safety requirements to be satisfied on vessels, according to the International Conventions for Human Being Safety in the Sea. The authority entitled for carrying out control and issuing authorization for national or foreign vessels shall be the General Direction of the Sea and Harbour (DGMP).
