This Decree-Law creates the National Ecological Reserve (REN) in order to preserve wildlife ecosystems. It consists of 21 articles and 3 annexes concerning competent authority for establishing REN's delimitation along coastal and river basin areas. It also establishes competence of REN's administration services under the Ministry of Land. Annexes list the characteristics of zones to be included in REN.
