This Decree establishes that packaging material and equipment used in food industry shall have sanitary certification. Materials used for packaging and transportation of foodstuffs and alimentary raw materials shall comply with the following requirements: (a) not alter nutritional value and quality of foodstuffs; (b) not to cause toxicity of foodstuffs; and (c) to prevent contamination of foodstuffs for the whole period of transportation and storage.
