This Decree creates the National Forest of "Humaitá", within the State of Amazonas. It consists of 5 articles establishing the aforesaid forest area which purposes are: the sustainable exploitation of its natural renewable resources, the management and protection of water resources and wildlife biodiversity, the conservation of ecosystem, etc. Control and management of this forestry area shall be under the competence of the Institution for Environment and Natural Renewable Resources 'IBAMA'.
