This Decree, consisting of 4 Chapters, creates the Department for the environmental preservation of the Island of Moçambique (GACIM) under the Ministry of Education. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, which will give advice and carry out study and control over the following sectors: land planning, tourism development, and environmental preservation.
