This Decree, consisting of 12 Chapters and 1 Annex, regulates and implements Law No. 6.608 regarding the State Animal Sanitary Protection (SIDAN). It lists strategic sanitary measures according to different infectious, contagious and parasitic animal diseases. It also establishes requirements to benefit from animal certification through control and inspection to be carried out on animal products.
