This Decree recognizes the power of the Chief Sanitary Inspector to: (a) oblige legal persons and individual entrepreneurs that manufacture or trade in foodstuffs containing GMOs to comply with legislative requirements on the disclosure of such GMO components to the general population; (b) suppress the infringement of national legislation setting restrictions and precautionary and preventive measures to discourage violation of such disclosure provisions; and (c) strengthen control over imports o
