The Decree establishes the procedure to be followed for the granting of premiums in case of permanent withdrawal of fishing activities. Measures to stop vessels' fishing activities permanently may include: (a) scrapping; (b) permanent transfer to a third country (provided such transfer is not likely to infringe international law or affect the conservation and management of marine resources); (c) permanent reassignment of the vessel in question to uses other than fishing.
