The commodities manufactured from polymeric and other synthetic materials, destined for contacting foodstuffs, must not emit hazardous to human health substances exceeding maximum residue limits and causing carcinogenic, mutagenic, embryotoxic, terratogenic, allergenic and other ultimate effects. MRL (mg/lt) indices shall be the main criteria for carrying out sanitary and chemical testing of the products destined for contacting foodstuffs which humidity index must not exceed fifteen percent.
