Decree No. 6 of 2000 of relative to protection of the coral reef.

It shall be prohibited to intentionally damage or destroy coral reefs. Vessels shall act carefully when approaching reefs. A prohibition to fish with dragnets shall apply to Norwegian and foreign fishing vessels in the areas specified in section 3. Offences shall be punishable under section 53 of the Marine Fisheries Act of 1953.
