The scope of this Decree is to protect fisheries interests in marine areas where seismic activities for purposes of petroleum exploration or exploitation are carried out. The seismic vessel shall observe appropriate distance from fishing vessels and from fixed or floating gear. The areas concerned are mentioned in section 4 of Chapter I of the Act to regulate petroleum-related activities.
