This Decree prohibits any fishing for bluefin tuna in the Norwegian fisheries jurisdiction by Norwegian or foreign fishing vessels, including vessels used for research or experimental fishing. The prohibition to fish bluefin tuna applies also to Norwegian vessels outside of the Norwegian fisheries jurisdiction. Offences against these rules shall be punished pursuant section 53 of the Marine Fisheries Act.
