Decree No. 799 of 2001 to regulate the exportation of minke whales.

This Decree lays down rules for the exportation of minke whales, parts, products and by products of minke whales. Its provisions prescribe conditions for exportation (Chapter I), require registration of export businesses (Chapter II), require authorization of exportation (Chapter III), and give further regulation powers to the Ministry of Fisheries and provide for offences to be punished pursuant to Act No. 32 of 1997. Conditions for exportation shall be in accordance with the CITES Convention.
