Article 1 defines the application sphere of the Decree. It applies to low-energy diets intended for nutritional use so as to reduce weight but it does not apply to complete low energy alternatives that do not contain a specified amount of calories. Requirements outlined in the First and second Schedule regarding contents of diets shall be met (art. 4).
